"The Canary-Colored Caravan of Death" RR
"The Canary-Colored Caravan of Death" was interesting to me because I do not really read comics. I enjoyed the pictures that the comic provided because it allowed me to follow along with the story line. This story was very sparatic and was difficult to follow at some points because of the lack of transitions. I believe that this story is about the effect the fathers life and death had on the girl. It showed her life before he died and after his death and it illustrated her feelings about things that he had done. I believe the title comes from the coloring hook that she used to have when she was a child and her father corrected her in how to color it and how he seemed to spite her father. Another example of her spite in at his funeral when everyone was saying how it was such a shame that her father had passes away and she just wanted to yell what she really thought about her dad. She also thought that the fact that they lived in a little town in the mountains where it was just her and her family together all the time that her father had no escape of the life that he had other than in death. Overall, I thought the story lacked meaning but it was just an excerpt so with the whole story it might make more sense.
